Program Information

Butler’s Dance Department offers beginning and advanced classes in most styles of dance including Tap, Jazz, Modern and Ballet. Students interested in dance as a career are encouraged to assist or teach in private or public dance studios. Public recitals by Tap, Ballet, Modern, and Jazz classes are presented twice each year. All dance students participate.

In addition to the Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Ballet courses required each semester, Dance Majors are also encouraged to take additional dance courses offered such as Jazz Fusion and Hip Hop.

Butler Community College is committed to flexible pathways for our student’s success. Courses are offered in varying delivery formats; face-to-face, blended and online. When reviewing this pathway, please check the Class Schedule to identify which format the course is offered to make sure you are selecting the delivery modality that fits your needs.
