MA 118. Contemporary Math with Guided Support This course will enable the student to apply critical and logical thinking skills, estimation, understanding of numbers, theories, rules, and principles to various real-world applications. The student will use basic concepts of probability and statistics for decision making and risk assessment. The student will apply these mathematical tools to solve problems across various disciplines, including personal finance and social science. The student will incorporate additional study skills and learning strategies, and the course will move at a slower pace than MA130.
