Program Information

If a teaching career in Early Childhood Special Education interests you, Butler is the place for you! The Butler Unified Elementary Education Program will offer courses to fulfill the first two years toward a related licensure program at a four-year college. This program is designed for dual licensure in the state of Kansas—K-6 Elementary Education and PK-3 Unified (Special) Education–after the successful completion an approved bachelor’s degree. Requirements vary at four-year colleges so work with a Butler advisor to ensure a smooth and complete transfer process.

Butler Community College is committed to flexible pathways for our student’s success. Courses are offered in varying delivery formats; face-to-face, blended and online. When reviewing this pathway, please check the Class Schedule to identify which format the course is offered to make sure you are selecting the delivery modality that fits your needs.
