Construction Technology (AAS) - New Fall 2021


Program Information

Students in the Construction Technology program will be prepared for a career in construction by engaging in relevant and generalized content in the following areas:  Plumbing, HVAC, Masonry, Electrical, Cabinet making, Building systems, Flooring, Carpentry, and general craft skills.  This program is ideal for those looking to begin their construction career as an entry level craft professional, general laborer seeking to increase their technical capabilities, or a student considering a generalized program to pursue further study in a specified construction process or application. 

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED to enter the program.

Accreditation

  • In order to issue the NCCER Credentials, the school must be an NCCER Accredited Training & Education Facility (ATEF). This accreditation is through NCCER and must be endorsed and overseen by an industry organization. AGC of Kansas would be the Sponsor and oversight for this Accreditation, the only cost would be a $50 application fee. The instructor must also be NCCER certified to teach and credential students, AGC of Kansas would also assist in this.  Butler is currently in the process; to be completed by July 2020.
