Program Information
Learn to fly an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) without leaving the greater-Wichita area. Butler Community College is teaming up with Kansas State Polytechnic to offer an associate degree in this in-demand field. Learn to fly an unmanned aircraft, and earn your pilot’s license – all in two years.
Aviation courses are taught by Kansas State Polytechnic faculty and are offered at our Rose Hill Campus and at Cook Airfield in Rose Hill.
Note: 13 credit hours are delivered by K-State Polytechnic in this degree plan. These courses will be transferred to Butler to count for degree requirements. The following courses can be completed at Butler after associate degree completion/graduation for transfer to K-State Polytechnic.

- Computer Elective Credits: 3
