Program Information
Butler’s Philosophy courses are designed to expose students to the ideas and principles of philosophical reflection that constitute the foundations of modern Western life and thought, thereby acquainting student with the rich intellectual heritage of our culture. These courses provide students with the opportunity to analyze and critique some of the logical, metaphysical, epistemological, and axiological theories of the Western world’s greatest philosophers, thereby helping students to develop their critical thinking skills and increase their understanding of complex issues.
