CN 140. Architectural Blueprint Reading

This course will enable the student to interpret drawing at a fundamental level as applied to the construction industry. The student will identify basic lines, views, abbreviations, architectural symbols, and structural shapes used in blueprints. The student will interpret basic 3D sketches using orthographic projection, scale ratios on a blueprint, and standard architectural symbols. The student will solve applicable mathematical equations, use basic measuring tools, and interpret schedules and a Bill of Materials.
